It seems like a small thing, doesn’t it? Just being there for you children. But, man does it matter later in life. Absent fathers wreck havoc on a child’s development as well as play a major role in whether or not they grow up to be troubled teens.
It doesn’t take much, either. Just time and engagement. Be there for them when they need you. Show that you care.
The statistics show all of this to be true.
If you are not around for your children, what is the excuse? Are you working too much or spending a lot of time “with the boys”? Just carve out an extra hour for your little ones and the rewards will pay huge dividends in the future.
They are worth it, you know.
